Adjusting to Canada: Humidity (of lack thereof)

Toronto and London, Ontario are not very dry places with humidity often ranging from 35-75%, in stark contrast to western Canada with places that can be classified as desert. Nonetheless, for someone who’s from Singapore with a humidity at or above 90%, it can get pretty dry.

And the key is to moisturise!

Hand and face moisturiser once in a while can pretend skin from drying out and peeling. Lip balm can prevent lips from chapping. And nasal lubricants can help prevent drying out of the nasal cavity (and thus prevent blood discharge).

However, J. has no clue how to stop the dryness of the air passages when he goes running. In his own words, “My airways! The wind! It cuts like razor blades!”

Be safe.
